Ahu Yağtu spent his childhood in Karşıyaka. Her mother and father passed away when Ahu was a child. She graduated from the art school in Izmir. When she decided to be a model at the age of 14, she moved from Izmir to Istanbul.

Ahu Yağtu started his business life with modeling in 1993, and in time he added many more jobs to her career, from acting to fashion editor and style consultancy.

Ahu Yağtu has been a host for one of the Aussies Away competition program for a while, and has appeared in many Turkish TV commercials.

In 2001, 90-60-90, Kampüsistan-2003- Prosecutor's Wife-2005, 29-30-2006, Commissioner Nevzat-2007, Kavak Yelleri-2007, Aşk and Ceza-2010 are the best series played by her. In 2010, she played in the movie Bir Avuç Deniz.

Ahu Yağtu owns a vintage boutique called “Second Chance” in Istanbul Bebek. Ahu Yağtu actively maintains the catwalk lives, is one of Turkey's best few models. She is also a style consultant and fashion designer.

In the age of 22 in year 2000, Ahu Yağtu married with kenkat Doğan Akçura. But unfortunaity due to some reasons they divorced 5 years.

Second time Ahu Yağtu and Cem Yılmaz married on 10 March 2012 at Pera Palas Hotel. They went to Dubai for honeymoon. Ahu Yağtu and Cem Yılmaz have a kid named Kemal.
